Dramatic Society hosts murder thriller

Cuckfield Dramatic Society (CDS) stages a play this month called ‘Murder in Company’. The story, by Philip King and John Boland, is of a dramatic society in the process of assembling on stage to rehearse a production of a mystery thriller. The rehearsal proceeds under difficulties until the mysterious death brings the situation of the ‘whodunit’ even more closely into real life. It transpires that almost everyone might, and could have, murdered the dead person – eventually the identity of both killer and prowler is revealed!

CDS is an established drama group which started in the village some 19 years ago. They produce two major performances a year, held in the Queen’s Hall during the May and October half term holidays.

There are plenty of opportunities to be involved with CDS, be it on stage, back stage or ‘front of house’. If you have no experience, members would be delighted to pass on their knowledge and mentor you in any of the roles for which you show an interest. The Society does not have a junior section of the society but members are happy to be joined by anyone from the age of 16 upwards. Contact Caroline Denholm on 01444 410574 for more information.

Murder in Company is on at Queen’s Hall 30th May to 1st June, starting at 8pm. Mansell McTaggart are the Box Office for ticket sales or call 01444 452911.
