Pardon Me, Prime Minister by Cuckfield Dramatic Society
Members of Cuckfield Dramatic Society will present Pardon Me, Prime Minister at the Queen’s Hall from 1st-4th June.
Written by playwright Edward Taylor (who has worked on many classic BBC series including Morecambe and Wise and The Two Ronnies) and John Graham, the play is set in Number 10 Downing Street. On the eve of the budget the Prime Minister and the Chancellor are preparing a puritanical crackdown on vices such as gambling, sex and night clubs. Shocks are in store, however, when exotic dancer Shirley arrives, the result of a post-party conference ‘party’ many years ago….
The play promises all the elements of a classic farce: poking fun at authority, embarrassing situations, mistaken identities, secret passions, people unaware of others and, of course, various states of undress!
Doors and Bar open at 7.15pm. Curtain-up at 8pm. Tickets cost £7 and £8, or two for £12 on Wednesday and are available from Wealden Stores and Marcus Grimes in Cuckfield or via the website: www.CuckfieldDamaticSociety.com
